England will be based in and around the city of Saint Petersburg, in the suburb of Repino. The FA have opted for a change from previous major tournaments, going for a secluded location away from any potential distractions.
Speaking to 'Sky Sports' in September, manager Gareth Southgate said: "For us it was important to be somewhere the players can close the door and relax."
With games in Volgograd, Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novogorod, there is a considerable amout of travel involved for England around the vast Russian interior. But as is the case for most nations in the largest country in the world, this is unavoidable. They will be buoyed by the fact that they don't have to travel to the eastern city of Yeketarinburg, which is three hours ahead of Kaliningrad and five ahead of London.
Australia, however, do have to travel to Russia's fourth-largest city, but having chosen a base in Kazan - where they will play another one of their group games - they should not be too adversely affected.
Nigeria have selected a base in Essentuki, far away from their group stage matches in Kaliningrad, Volgograd and Saint Petersburg.
