Who should Premier League top six buy this summer?

ARSENAL

A lot of the 'Gunners' transfer business could hinge on who they bring in as their replacement for Arsene Wenger. It seems Mikel Arteta is the likely candidate which, if so, the board will probably keep a hold on transfer input.

In terms of players, they need a goalkeeper to replace the ageing Petr Cech with Bayer Leverkusen's Bernd Leno looking like a sound target.

Defensively the team need a lot of work so they could turn to relegated West Brom centre-back Jonny Evans as a cheap alternative, whilst Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has also been tipped to move to the Emirates. 

Further afield, Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri would be a good fit but it depends on what budget Arsenal are prepared to part with this summer. 

CHELSEA

Just like their London rivals, the 'Blues' will probably be needing a new manager with Antonio Conte expected to depart in the next 48 hours.

A big name would help ease the issue of no Champions League football, with Chelsea hoping to attract the likes of unsettled Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

However the important concern for the club is keeping big name stars, such as Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, who are holding off deciding their futures until later in the summer.

LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp wants to challenge Manchester City for the league title next season so will need to strengthen his thread-bare squad.

Roma goalkeeper Alisson has been constantly linked with a move to Anfield whilst Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir seems a likely arrival over the summer. 

Other potential candidates include: Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey, Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic and even Tottenham's Victor Wanyama.

MANCHESTER CITY

The runaway champions refuse to rest on their laurels and are targeting two to three arrivals over the window. 

Napoli midfielder Jorginho has been heavily linked with joining Pep Guardiola's squad whilst a shock swoop for Chelsea's Eden Hazard has emerged on Monday. 

City could also reignite their interest in Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez after they failed to push through a move in January. 

MANCHESTER UNITED

Expect a lot of change at Old Trafford over the summer after a trophyless campaign for Jose Mourinho.

With Anthony Martial and co. heading for the exit door, United could make moves for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld and Juventus full-back Alex Sandro. 

Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred has also been rumoured to be a target as the 'Red Devils' look to replace the retiring Michael Carrick. 

TOTTENHAM

The least likely of the six to blow lots of money, Spurs have a habit of finding rough diamonds.

However, after Pochettino also finished the season trophyless, he want to push on and feels Manchester United's Anthony Martial could help the attack.

In addition, Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon, Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha and Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure have been suggested as possible targets.
