The Colombian playmaker, currently on loan at Bayern Munich, was full of praise for his fellow countryman, backing the powerful defender to have a long and successful career in the game.
"Mina is going to be one of the best central defenders in the world. He's going to surprise a lot of people. He'll offer a lot to Barca," James explained during the interview.
Should James' assessment prove to be correct then it will be good news for both players, with James an international team-mate of Mina.
The Barcelona new boy has nine caps for the Colombian national team and is considered to be one of the country's top prospects.
