Southampton: The hosts have no new injury concerns ahead of this one and could field the same side that started the win over West Brom last week. Strikers Manolo Gabbiadini and Charlie Austin remain sidelined with hip and thighs injuries respectively.
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp will be without right-back Joe Gomez who has a knee problem, meaning Trent Alexander-Arnold could be in line for a start. Defenders Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno are available after muscle injuries, but Adam Bogdan (knee) and Nathaniel Clyne (back) remain unavailable. Former 'Saints' Virgil van Dijk, Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sadio Mane and Dejan Lovren could all feature.
Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino:
"Liverpool is a huge possibility for us but a really tough side. We want to learn and we want to improve from our experience away and we have to improve in different aspects in the way we play.
"Hopefully we feel at the end of the game that we are growing and we are continuing with this feeling."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp:
"They're a good team, to be honest I don't get why they are in the region of the table they are.
"It won't be a friendly game; they fight for everything, we fight for everything. They will want to show their quality but we have our own targets."
