Sevilla have their own continental pedigree to pride themselves upon - winning the Europa League five times - more than any other club. However, getting a good result from Old Trafford seems far-fetched for a side that no longer leaves its opponents in awe due to a self-assured aplomb and adventurous attacking football.
The main reason why Vincenzo Montella's men will believe they can qualify for the quarter-finals for the first time since 1958 is because they do not need to win in order to knock out Manchester United, whose record in the competition towers over Sevilla's.
Jose Mourinho's side held on to a goalless draw in the south of Spain but have been in stunning form ahead of the return fixture in Manchester. Sevilla will have to up their game if they want to find the back of the net, having only scored 36 La Liga goals this season. That's half as many goals as leaders Barcelona have scored.
A side lacking finishers and a manager who likes holding onto the ball and has overlooked his team's goal-shyness but still has the audacity to plot an upset at Old Trafford. Qualification would certainly be remarkable for the La Liga outfit but first they will have to improve their goal return. Let's not forget, a draw could be enough.
