Madrid's Portuguese poster boy can't stop making history and now has the largest collection of hat-tricks in football. On 34 occasions in La Liga, Ronaldo has scored three or more goals. Lionel Messi, the league's all-time top scorer, has only managed 28.
As Espanyol and Granada will know all too well, Ronaldo has even gone as far as netting five times in a single game. Prolific.
With these statistics, Ronaldo has surpassed Gerd Muller, ex-Bayen Munich and Germany striker, who lived his glory days in the 60s and 70s. Muller achieved an astounding 32 games with three or more goals in Germany's top flight.
Nevertheless, when it comes to four or more goals, the German restores the crown. Muller reached this feat on 14 occasions, twice Ronaldo's tally. Neither, however, has ever managed six goals in a game.
With no player achieving what Ronaldo has managed across all of Europe's top divisions, the striker wasn't wrong to say nobody compares to him.
