Manager Brendan Rodgers is hoping his side can show the same quality in the return fixture as they did in the 1-0 victory: "We showed in the first leg how well we played. We played a perfect game really in terms of the way we defended and attacked," he said from the Celtic hotel in Saint Petersburg.
"Of course we would have liked to have one or two more goals but our concentration and quality was at a really high level so we know that over the course of the two legs, we need to replicate that tomorrow evening and the players are ready for that," he added.
Despite his side going into the tie in the driver's seat, Rodgers has remained down-to-earth and focused on the fixture saying that, if Celtic win, "it will be a huge achievement for us."
Zenit are currently second to Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian Premier League. Manager Roberto Mancini's side will have to step it up a gear if they are to produce a comeback on Thursday.
