Marcus Rashford is learning a lot from Manchester United's coach and doesn't believe that his lack of game time is compromising his development.
The 20-year-old has been training full-time with the squad, although his lack of starts for United has seen his match progress somewhat plateau.
The forward was in the starting eleven against Liverpool though, for his first start in the Premier League since 26th December. However, it doesn't seem to have hindered his performance, scoring twice in the clash to be crowned Man-of-the-Match.
Speaking to 'SkySports', Rashford addressed the issue: ''Right now, I'm probably not learning the most on the pitch. In training is where I'm doing most of my learning.
"You have to take it into the game and [on Saturday] it worked. Personally, taking the confidence from this game into the next games is important."There's lots of things [I'm learning]. It is just the all-round game is starting to become more clear. Things this manager wants are becoming more clear to me. The more you do, the easier the results come on the pitch.
It is fair to say that his display on Saturday has increased his chances of starting against Sevilla, in a match that Mourinho says is even more important that the Liverpool victory.
Rashord also pointed out that he's not frustrated with Mourinho's methods: ''We are all in it together. Sometimes you are in the team, sometimes you are not in the team. When you are younger than I am, and you are learning the game, I think you do need it. But my experiences of the past - I understand that's part of the game. There are 11 players that start, it's just one of those things."
