The Argentine is known for producing audacious bits of skills, the most recent of which embarrassed Antonio Rudiger during Barcelona's Champions League clash with Chelsea. However, on Thursday, it was Messi who stopped training to praise a team-mate's great play instead.
During a 'Rondo' drill, Dembele fired a pass to the Barcelona forward which passed through Alba's legs, nutmegging him, much to the amusement of Messi and his team-mates.
Considering the 20-year-old has struggled to make an impact since joining the Catalan club from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the sight of one of the best players in the world applauding him will no doubt boost the French striker as he hopes to secure a starting role in Ernesto Valverde's side.
