Perisic is keen on a move to Old Trafford and, as the deal gets closer every day, the only thing slowing it down is Inter's reluctance to budge on their £48 million asking price for the 28-year-old.
Now, Inter coach Luciano Spaletti has insisted he wants a replacement before letting the Croatia international go, and he is set to demand French winger Anthony Martial as part of the deal.
Martial joined the Red Devils in 2015 for a fee of £36 million which could rise to £58 million. The 21-year-old had a great first season at Old Trafford, and Mourinho has insisted on his enormous potential, while also questioning his commitment.
'Do I think Anthony is player with great potential? Yes. Do I think he can play successfully for me? Yes. But he needs to give me things that I like', the Portuguese manager said back in April.
