We take a look out at how the 'Gunners' could beat their Premier League rivals at the weekend:
CONTAIN DE BRUYNE
The Belgian midfielder has provided 19 assists so far for the 'Sky Blues' with his passes dissecting numerous opposition defences. Arsenal will need to stop City's lively magician if they are going to keep a clean sheet on Sunday.
Possible solutions may require man marking Kevin De Bruyne by starting with an extra midfielder, although this could diminish the 'Gunners' attacking threat. Alternatively, Arsene Wenger may just need to instruct two players to keep tracking him at every point during the match.
It seems excessive, but if Arsenal can contain the 26-year-old and make him have a quiet game, they stand a good chance of winning the trophy.
RESTRICT THE SPACE
City have in Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane two brilliant wide players who can stretch the opposition defences to create spaces for their team-mates to exploit, which they tend to do so clinically.
To combat this, Arsenal need to pack players in a small area on the edge of and inside their own box, like Wigan did on Monday, so that they stifle the space for players to link up and run into by creating a smaller pitch for City to play their football in.
It's a risky strategy as it does mean you stand off players approaching the box, but if one scores a long-range screamer, then it probably isn't meant to be Arsenal's night anyway.
EXPLOIT ZINCHENKO
There's no guarantee that he will play on Sunday, but if he does then Arsenal have a great attacking opportunity. Oleksandr Zinchenko is naturally a forward-thinking player, who has been employed as a left-back by Guardiola to help widen that wing as much as possible to stretch the defence.
However, against Marc Albrighton and Leicester in the Premier League, that attacking instinct was exploited to great success by the 'Foxes' and will be a possible avenue for Arsenal to target, especially when trying to counter.
QUICK COUNTER ATTACKS TO AUBAMEYANG
The 'Gunners' have in their big-money January signing an impressively rapid, mobile striker who can dribble exceptionally well at defenders and find tonnes of space. This will be key on Sunday as the London club will need to be prepared to pounce quick on any mistakes made by City by going direct to Aubameyang so he can exploit the swathes of open areas left by their opposition who wouldn't have had time to reset.
Either way it will be a difficult task for Arsenal as only Liverpool and Wigan have defeated the Premier League leaders this season, but it is possible. It might just take an exceptionally clean and well-executed performance to achieve it.
