Despite his ripe age of 36, Chelsea have been impressed by the Argentine keeper's performances and attitude this season, to the extent that they have decided to keep him in London for another season.
The keeper has an option in his one-year contract to extend his stay with the 'Blues' by another year, and Antonio Conte's side will reportedly activate this option at the end of the season, according to 'GOAL'.
Caballero joined Chelsea from Manchester City at the end of last season, and has acted as Conte's second keeper, backing up Thibaut Courtois.
Apart from one Premier League appearance, the Argentine has been the side's cup keeper, keeping seven clean sheets in nine games in both the FA Cup and EFL Cup.
He has overseen an FA Cup run that has seen Chelsea progress to the semi-finals of the competition, where they face Southampton.
