Bayern stars give Heynckes an emotional send-off

It seems as though Bayern Munich needed little time to recover from losing the German Cup final to Eintracht Frankfurt, as they gathered to pay tribute to outgoing manager Jupp Heynckes.

The Bundesliga champions failed in their bid to secure a domestic double, having been defeated by Frankfurt 3-1 on Saturday evening in the German capital.

The players lifted their Bundesliga trophy on the balcony of the town's city hall, in front of thousands of Bayern supporters, in an emotional send-off for Heynckes.

Heynckes has enjoyed his fourth spell at the club, having led the club tot their sixth domestic title. The all-star Bayern squad were pictured together before they head off to their various teams ahead of the World Cup.
