However, rumours continue to persist with Spanish newspaper 'Sport' indicating that the Catalan club will line up an £88million bid for the Atletico player after receiving their players' support.
The front page even included a photo of Griezmann mocked up in a Barcelona shirt to show how the 26-year-old would look at the Camp Nou, describing him as their 'Fifth Fantastic' alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.
'Los Cules' had compensated for the loss of Neymar by buying Dembele and Coutinho, who are slowly finding their feet in La Liga, but Griezmann would arguably complete the squad with the No. 7 shirt reportedly left vacant for him.
