The utility man has announced his desire to leave the Monegasque side at the end of the current campaign, telling reporters at a press conference: 'It should be my last season at Monaco.'
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the 24-year-old in the past and could be set to re-ignite their interest.
Fabinho is a versatile player, capable of filling in both in midfield and at right-back and with United expecting Marouane Fellaini to leave the club upon the expiration of his contract, it could be the perfect match-up.
However, as is often the case with players of Fabinho's calibre, there are several interested parties, with the player himself alluding to reported interest from Atletico Madrid and PSG during a press conference.
'Atletico or PSG? I’m a Monaco player,' he explained.
'I need to prove I can play on teams like that. We'll see in May. I used to read the papers. I don't anymore. I'm OK with that.'
The Brazilian claims to have a verbal agreement with the French side stating that he can leave the club at the end of the current campaign, though a January move seems to be off the table.
'I don't think so,' he replied when asked over a January switch. 'I have had no contact [from other clubs] and I'm secure at Monaco.'
Fabinho was linked with PSG in the summer, but after the Parisians spent big to bring in Neymar and Fabinho's former team-mate Kylian Mbappe, there was no money left in the coffrers for the former Real Madrid loanee.
