The surprise player who has jumped to Cavani's defence

Cavani refused to let Neymar take a penalty. You know the story. The controversy has spread through the media and is refusing to fizzle out.

Mario Balotelli has now jumped in on the action to defend Cavani's actions, which will come as a surprise to many as the duo were involved in a confrontation themselves when Nice played PSG in April.

But 'Super Mario' never fails to amaze and has now waded in on the bust-up.

The Instagram post reads: 'You shouldn't even ask for shot them!', which although doesn't make perfect sense, clearly shows Balotelli is on Cavani's side.
