Real Madrid:
Los Blancos have had a perfect start to their defence of the Champions League title, as they attempt to win the competition for an unprecedented third successive year. They have won both of their opening two Group H games against Borussia Dortmund and APOEL Nicosia.
Gareth Bale will be unable to face his former side as he is out with a calf injury, while Mateo Kovacic (knee) and Dani Carvajal (heart problem) are other significant absentees, but goalkeeper Keylor Navas could shake off a thigh strain to return to the fold.
Tottenham:
Mauricio Pochettino's side have also won their opening two group games and head into the clash at the Bernabeu on good form, having won eight out of 11 games this season, while striker Harry Kane is in fine goalscoring form.
Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama could both be in contention for Spurs after returning from lengthy injury layouts, while Ben Davies has not recovered in time to feature. Moussa Dembele has also travelled with the squad and could feature for the first time in four weeks, and Jan Vertonghen has served a suspension but Dele Alli still has one game to serve.
Possible lineups:
Real Madrid: Navas; Nacho, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Isco; Benzema, Ronaldo.
Tottenham: Lloris; Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Aurier. Sissoko, Dier, Trippier; Eriksen, Son; Kane.
