The powers that be at Juventus are following the new talents from the Barcelona academy very closely, with one name in particular already on their wishlist.
That name is Mateu Morey, the 17-year-old right back, who has attracted interest from clubs all around Europe after his performances for Spain's U17 side as well as for Barcelona in the UEFA Youth League.
Although last summer it looked as if Mateu Morey had said goodbye to the Camp Nou with a move to Bayern Munich on the cards, the Catalan giants fought to keep hold of the player as they are fully aware of the young defender's huge potential.
Now, according to 'Tuttosport', interest from various European giants has been reignited after the teenager's impressive showings in the U17 World Cup. As well as the aforementioned Juventus, the Serie A champions will have to compete with Manchester City and, one again, Bayern in order to sign the La Masia product.
After starting in the youth ranks at Mallorca, Morey moved to La Masia to continue developing at Barcelona. The Spaniard is known for his ability to link up with the attack down the right hand side, without shirking on his defensive duties. He's certainly a player with a lot of promise and could have many people talking about him in a couple of years time.
