In an interview with the 'Birmingham Mail', Lansbury said: "He (Terry) said the other day, someone smashed him straight away (against Shrewsbury),"
"I was like 'welcome to the lower leagues mate.'"
"It's not going to be easy for him but he's a great guy who will hit the ground running."
Lansbury waxed lyrical about Terry's impact on the squad but insisted that he received no special treatment at Bodymoor Heath:
"Well he's just another bloke. The boys don't treat him any different on the training field or the dressing room," he explained.
"He's had a great career and has been a fantastic player throughout his career."
"We will learn from him and I'm sure we'll be able to ask him questions if we need to as the season progresses."
Questions have been asked as to whether Terry can cope with the Championship's gruelling 46-game schedule but Lansbury as least is confident that he will cope just fine.
