The forward had a disappointing season last time out, despite showing glimpses of his obvious ability.
The arrival of Romelu Lukaku and continued links with a move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic have lead to rumours that Martial could find himself even more on the fringes next season.
As such, German side Wolfsburg and ironically Inter, have both contacted United over the former Monaco man's availability.
Whether Inter's interest depends on an exit for Perisic is unclear at this stage, as is whether United would be prepared to left the player leave, even temporarily.
Whilst United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly happy to have Lukaku and Rashford as his main options up front, he realises that Martial gives him another option both up front and out wide.
The Frenchman is also rumoured to be happy to fight for his place at the club, thus complicating any potential deal further.
The 21-year-old started less than half of United's Premier League games last season and only managed to score 8 goals in 43 games in all competitions.
Could he benefit from regular football elsewhere?
