That treble against Watford took Aguero to within two goals of Eric Brook as City's all-time record goalscorer.
Brook managed 177 goals for City between 1928 and 1939 before he was forced to retire following a fractured skull sustained in a car crash in 1939.
Aguero is already City's all-time leading goalscorer in European competitions and recently became the Premier League's top-scoring non-European player.
As well as this record, Aguero could be set to be to match Robin Van Persie's record of scoring in nine consecutive away Premier League matches.
Aguero's hat-trick against Watford saw him score on his eighth straight away Premier League start a feat bettered only by Van Persie.
For a man that some thought may be surplus to requirements earlier in the summer, Aguero is showing everyone that he still has plenty to offer Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.
