Redknapp revealed last week that he was closing in on a deal for the 24-year old midfielder with reports in Turkey suggesting a fee of £4m had been agreed. However, reports suggesting that the deal has stalled have led to the Birmingham boss becoming increasingly frustrated over transfers.
According to reports there is a general agreement over personal terms but the Nigerian midfielder continues to train with Trabzonspor in Turkey as Birmingham still need to sort the required paperwork. The player needs to obtain a work permit which will reportedly not be so straightforward to secure.
Harry Redknapp declared that he would not allow defender Ryan Shotton to leave the club until new signings have been confirmed, despite the Blues already agreeing a fee with fellow Championship side Middlesbrough.
Shotton came on for Birmingham as a first-half substitute in the club's 0-0 draw with Bolton on Tuesday following the withdrawal of captain Michael Morrison after he suffered a broken nose.
