Brendan Rodgers worried after fan Mbappe kick

Brendan Rogers has admitted that he worries his Celtic team could face a heavy disciplinary backlash after another incident against PSG on Tuesday.

Celtic could face a partial closure of a stand after a fan broke through to the pitch and attempted to kick PSG frontman Kylian Mbappe.

The fear is exacerbated by Celtic's pre-existing record of misbehaviour. The 'Hoops' boast a lengthy charge sheet in Europe, stretching back as early as May 2007.

"It's certainly not something that we would want,' said the Celtic boss. 'Our big advantage when we are a million miles away in terms of financial support is through the supporters. If we don't have them then it could be difficult."
